Marine Electrical system

Marine Electrical Systems Course Registration.

Thank you for signing up for the Marine Electrical Systems course starting on Wednesday Jan 18th, 2023 at 7pm at the Pompano Beach Sail and Power Squadron.

This course will cover the theory and practice for installing, troubleshooting and working on your boat’s electrical systems, both AC and DC.


The course is usually 8 to 9 weeks in length including the examination.

You will receive all your materials and Textbook the day of the course.


Course Fees:

Cureent Power Squardon Members: $75.00 + Tax

Non-Members: $135.00 + tax

Marine Electrical Systems (MES) covers the practice of wiring your boat, including boat electrical wiring practices and diagrams, direct and alternating current power, galvanic and stray current corrosion, and lightning protection. Troubleshooting is emphasized throughout, so students should feel comfortable performing even tricky wiring tasks after passing this course.
